Founded in 1998, the “Valley of the Monkeys” is a place of knowledge of both wildlife and environmental awareness. There are over 350 primates and 30 different species that roam freely over 15 territories. To implement its mission awareness to protect the Valley of the Monkeys developed a concept in which its originality lies in the absence of doors. Visitors walk among the territories of small monkeys and around the larger islands of monkeys housing. A first in France that marked the history of the park was the arrival of a group of bonobos.
